Bogrie Cottage, Canonbie

We had 10 wonderful days in this cute cottage, surrounded by beautiful landscape for walks, hot tub was very nice with sheep walking by and we enjoyed the fireplace with the colds days before Christmas. We will definitely stay again.

Rachel you were a great host very accommodating towards us. The property is located up a country road if you want total privacy you'll find it here. The cottage is so chocolate box would be beautiful to see it all in the summer months. We asked if we could have the hot tub lit for our arrival which was done for us for the cost of 25 which was worth every penny. The hot tub was fantastic you'll need to bring flipflops the peddles are not comfortable on your feet. There were towels for the hot tub and robes but we took our own robes. The log fire was a.plus but you'll need a lot of logs as it burns through them rapidly. I do believe you can purchase from the owner who lives up the road. We didnt use the summer house or the pizza oven or the cushions for the outside furniture. The main bedroom was lovely and beautifully presented, the bed was so comfy we slept like a log. The twin room was a generous size. The bathroom was very modern well decorated but there were no toiletries as advertised. We forgot to bring ours but as it was listed there was toiletries we thought we'd be ok. There was no hand wash and only one toilet roll and a tiny bit thst was left over, you'd expect two and hand wash. There was a drip in the soap despenser. We managed to go buy the next day. There also wasn't a welcome pack, only 4 sachets of coffee teabags and handful of sugar sachets too. The kitchen was well equipped with your basics. The livingroom with the log fire was amazing although the sofa is so big its right in middle of room obscuring the fire and table and chairs is tight in corner. The carpet in livingroom was lovely and light but there was no hoover. On the saturday we recieved a late text offering us a late check out as there was no other guests staying and check out is 9.30 am we decided to take it but was charged another 25 but in the morning we left by 10am which is standard check out time. All in all we had a fantastic time.

Beautiful house in a great, quiet location. Really enjoyed our stay watching the lambs in the field. Access was really easy and host provided great insight about facilities and local area. Fantastic place to unwind and relax

Lovely cottage in quiet rural area . Relaxing peaceful comfortable . Plenty of places to go for days out nearby . Nice to sit in the summerhouse watching birds in day and stargazing at night .

We had a wonderful stay at Bogrie Cottage. It was very comfortable, providing everything you could possibly need. It is set in a beautiful, peaceful spot within easy reach of Canonbie and Langholm. So relaxing and cosy.

We had an amazing stay. The cottage is stunning and in a lovely location. We also did a farm tour which our girls 10 and 12 loved and they got to get up close with the animals. Rachel was great at answering any queries and very helpful. Cottage was beautiful and we loved the hot tub too. Everything was even better than it looked in the photos.

We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous cottage. The owner was great, our second day she took us on a farm visit which lasted an hour, she was very friendly. The cottage was in the middle of nowhere which was brilliant for us, but not in walking distance of anywhere eg shop. It would have been beneficial if the log hot tub had been lit before we arrived as it didn't warm up for the first night but teenagers loved it, even when it was cold. We had a very relaxing stress free break. We would definitely recommend it to others.
