George
Excellent holiday cottage in a great location for exploring Scotland's South West coast. Plenty of great Golf Courses locally, fantastic coast line walking opportunities. Nothing too much trouble from the hosts, who provided a very clean, comfortable and homely home from home for our stay over New Year. Hot tub was perfect with Sea Views, big night skies full of Stars and we even saw The Northern Lights whilst walking down to the local Pub for tea. Thanks for the great start to 2025.
Peaceful location, very comfortable, well equipped cottage.
Our second time staying here and it was every bit as good as we remembered . Janice and Derek have thought of everything , the cottage is a real home from home with the added bonus of a hot tub with a view . Would not hesitate to recommend Longforth Cottage , just perfect
One of the best properties my wife, friends and I have stayed in. On arrival, the place was fresh and clean. The ensuites in each bedroom was one of the reasons for booking the cottage. Its kitchen was more than adequately stocked with the necessary crockery and utensils, though the electric hob and oven took a wee while to master the controls. The separate dining room an added bonus to sit and enjoy an evening meal together. The living room with the wood burner stove made for cosy October evenings. An occasional dip in the hot tub was enjoyed on a couple of occasions during our stay and the front patio area was handy for viewing the scenery while enjoying a brew. Definitely somewhere we would return to and certainly recommend to friends. Thanks Derek for an enjoyable few days.
Trevor
This is the best property we have stayed in. From the welcome we received from Derek on arrival until we left we were made to feel so welcome and also so comfortable. The property is kitted out to the highest standard with great beds and showers, comfortable seating and everything you could want including a brilliant hot tub. There's a reason this property is so popular and we'll be booking it again
Gareth
We had the most fantastic 2 week stay at the cottage. The views were amazing and the cottage was homely and beautifully clean. The area is soooo quiet and the garden was a good size for family recreation. Local pub serves excellent food on the sea front which is only a few minutes walk away. Highly recommended.
Couldn't fault the cottage was lovely and will defo be back
Comfortable and very clean and warm as required. Lots of attention to detail which is appreciated and made the holiday more relaxed and at home. Grateful for guidance rather than a rule format. Warm welcome. Felt you were entrusted to looking after the property which is a delightful touch. Would not hesitate to recommend,
Sharon
Excellent base for visiting Galloway. Comfortable well laid out property with fabulous views, helpful owner and bonus of a hot tub.
Christopher
The property was very nice, clean and tidy. Derek was very welcoming and helpful. The location and view are great. One tiny niggle is the listing says EV charging is available for 5 a day. I was never going to recharge my Plug in Hybrid at that rate but EV charging is unavailable.
Stayed in a great deal of cottages up and down the country, longforth cottage is absolutely beautiful the pictures dont do it justice, like staying in a five star hotel, stone throw from the beach, hot tub was welcoming after a days walking even in early March, Derek the owner very knowledgeable about the walks in the area, if you like peace and quiet the number one place to stay.
Daniel
A beatiful and peaceful break. Top location, wonderful cottage with quality fixtures and fittings, hot tub cleaned daily, non intrusive hosts. Just sublime
Conrad

The property was absolutely amazing, The layout and finish to this property was really really excellent and well thought out. We really liked the nice touches like a bottle of prosseco chilled in the fridge to complimentary bath robes. They have thought about absolutely everything, kitted out with everything you could possibly need, like home from home. Thankyou so much Derek for a truly amazing break.

Great 4 day break at the cottage. A real home from home we shared with family. Very comfortable and cosy with the log burner a pleasant addition on the cold nights we had whilst there. The cold weather didnt stop us enjoying the hot tub. Would definitely book again and recommend to family and friends. Having the pub and beach within walking distance was an added bonus too.
Excellent cottage and facilities and very friendly and helpful owners
Patricia
Lovely cottage with equally lovely owners. This cottage has all you could wish for to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing break, with wonderful views, one of the best cottages I have stayed in, and plenty to see and do if you can pull yourself away
What a week at Longforth Farm. Home from home comforts in a wonderfully quiet setting. Delightful views of the sea including from the hot tub....on a clear night so many stars to see too. Cottage was lovely and warm with a log burner on the chilly nights or for a bit of theatre. So we'll equipped and furnished ...the walk in shower was amazing with another en suite and a bathroom too if you need it. Janice and her son Cameron are so nice and on hand if you require anything. The Cock Inn, a short 10 minute walk away, was so welcoming and served some lovely food so be sure to book a table at least once. Didn't want to leave Longforth or the hot tub.... and hoping to be back again. Superb week.....so thank you Janice
A luxurious Christmas getaway! We spent Christmas at the cottage and had an amazing time. The cottage is beautiful with everything you could possibly need to have a relaxing break! The beach is ten minutes walk away and has a lovely pub right on the shore. There are lots of great walks around the area or if you just want to chill, the cottage has everything you need to relax and recharge. Well be back next year!
Home from home. Everything you could wish for, and lovely owners where nothing is to much trouble. Definitely would return.

Philippa
A superb cottage with beautiful views to the sea. You can see that the owners take a lot of pride in their property and ensure its beautifully presented for guests on arrival. We received a very warm welcome and the bottle of prosecco in the fridge was just perfect. Cant wait to return!
