A lovely remote cottage with pretty much everything could want for your stay. The kitchen was well equipped with the basics from tea towels and washing up liquid to coffee, tea bags and sugar to a welcoming bottle of prosecco in the fridge. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. We also used the well maintained hot tub a couple of nights. Bath robes were supplied for use of the hot tub. Overall, a perfect location for spending time touring the Dumfries & Galloway region. Don't forget to check out the nearby Mull of Galloway lighthouse and Bladnock whiskey distillery.

Longforth Cottage is a very spacious and comfortable property in a beautiful location with fabulous views of the sea. It is well equipped and the hot tub is large and well maintained. We sat in the hot tub and enjoyed the views of the sea and surrounding countryside. The cottage is well located for visiting lovely towns and villages. Amongst other places we visited the gardens at Logan which we really enjoyed. Would highly recommend this very comfortable property if you like a quiet area in the countryside.

Idyllic is the only way to describe this cottage. You are surrounded by beautiful countryside and a beautiful view of the sea. Most of the sounds you hear are the cows, sheep and birds. The field next to the cottage always had at least 6 hares in it especially on an evening and we also saw a deer in the standing stone field. We also saw Red Kites when we were out and about in the area. Cottage is very comfortable with everything you will need. Would definitely love to return as our week in the cottage was so relaxing and tranquil.

Longforth Farm Cottage is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. It was so comfortable and so obviously cared for. The views surrounding the cottage are to die for. To sit out and view rural fields and the sea, are our idea of heaven. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We will certainly come back again. Dumfries and Galloway was also a very pleasant surprise to us.

A lovely cottage set in a stunning location just a few minutes walk away from the beach , lots of wildlife visiting the garden , the beds were extremely comfortable and the showers lovely and hot also a nice hot tub which we would have used more but the weather was not great , overall a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life , the only criticism would be is in the bathroom there are no hooks to hang your dressing gown on while you shower but that's nitpicking.

We had a wonderful and relaxed holiday the views were amazing to sit having your breakfast looking out at the sea and watching deer rabbits and birds in the fields was a great start to our day . The cottage had everything you would need if you didnt want to go out they had games books jigsaws and a big screen tv a perfect place for what ever you wanted to do .

Longforth Farm Cottage was everything we wanted and needed. The cottage was comfortable and the peacefulness and views were exceptional. We didn't need to contact Derek for anything but when speaking regarding our arrival he was very friendly and helpful. It was a great location to access the many sites in the area which we took full advantage of. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Longforth Farm Cottage. Had a lovely,relaxing week at Longforth cottage. Everything was lovely and clean and the hottub and beautiful views of the sea were fantastic. Didn't get to meet Derek but he was lovely and helpful on the phone with instructions etc. I would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone. It is in a beautiful part of Scotland and there are many places to visit by car so well worth a visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Longforth Farm Cottage. The cottage was immaculate & extremely comfortable. A real home from home. It was private & so peaceful. The wild beach was about a 7 minute walk from the front door & we enjoyed bracing walks on the beach everyday. Visiting out of season meant a lot of visitor attractions were shut for the winter but The Botanical Gardens near Stranraer was open & even on a wet, November day the gardens were magical, well worth a visit. We even photographed a red squirrel there. A short drive to Newton Stewart or Stranraer provided supermarkets you might require plus nice coffee shops. We wanted a quiet, peaceful setting in which to enjoy nature & Longforth Farm Cottage provided that. The visiting seabirds at low tide were a treat to watch. The log burner was wonderful on chilly evenings. Our only regret was we didn't book two weeks! But we will return next year & hope to venture further afield into Scotland. Thank you to all concerned at Longforth Farm Cottage, we didn't meet you in person but we look forward to staying in your wonderful cottage again next year.

Hidden gem! Immaculate picture postcard cottage with the most beautiful scenery, ideal location whether you choose to enjoy the local area or venture further afield. Derek was on hand if we needed him and must be thanked for Longforth Cottage, everything was way beyond our expectations. The added bonus was the hot tub, views by day looking out to sea whilst at night stargazing so so many. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed staying at the cottage especially as we were all poorly whilst we were there. It was such a comfortable place to be ill! Had we been well, we could have taken advantage of the various gardens that were quite near. The weather could have been better though. Derek was amazingly helpful and we really appreciated everything he did for us. Wonderful to have an owner on hand.

A really excellent cottage, beautifully decorated and well fitted with everything you might need. Great location, quiet, with a lovely view of Luce Bay and also of the surrounding countryside. Excellent holiday cottage in a great location for exploring Scotland's South West coast. Plenty of great Golf Courses locally, fantastic coast line walking opportunities. Nothing too much trouble from the hosts, who provided a very clean, comfortable and homely home from home for our stay over New Year. Hot tub was perfect with Sea Views, big night skies full of Stars and we even saw The Northern Lights whilst walking down to the local Pub for tea. Thanks for the great start to 2025.

One of the best properties my wife, friends and I have stayed in. On arrival, the place was fresh and clean. The ensuites in each bedroom was one of the reasons for booking the cottage. Its kitchen was more than adequately stocked with the necessary crockery and utensils, though the electric hob and oven took a wee while to master the controls. The separate dining room an added bonus to sit and enjoy an evening meal together. The living room with the wood burner stove made for cosy October evenings. An occasional dip in the hot tub was enjoyed on a couple of occasions during our stay and the front patio area was handy for viewing the scenery while enjoying a brew. Definitely somewhere we would return to and certainly recommend to friends. Thanks Derek for an enjoyable few days.

The property was very nice, clean and tidy. Derek was very welcoming and helpful. The location and view are great. One tiny niggle is the listing says EV charging is available for 5 a day. I was never going to recharge my Plug in Hybrid at that rate but EV charging is unavailable.

Stayed in a great deal of cottages up and down the country, longforth cottage is absolutely beautiful the pictures dont do it justice, like staying in a five star hotel, stone throw from the beach, hot tub was welcoming after a days walking even in early March, Derek the owner very knowledgeable about the walks in the area, if you like peace and quiet the number one place to stay.
