About Laird Lodge 5

Laird Lodge 5 is a modern studio-style lodge in Dumfries and Galloway. This single-storey accommodation offers stunning countryside views and sits in a peaceful rural setting. The lodge combines comfort with practicality in a compact but well-designed space.

Set in the Scottish countryside near Lochmaben, the area provides a perfect escape from everyday life. The tranquil surroundings let you truly unwind while still being close enough to explore local towns. Stargazing from the hot tub is particularly magical here with minimal light pollution.

The accommodation features a studio layout with a comfortable double bed, kitchen area, dining space and sitting area with sofa bed. The shower room includes a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. This wheelchair-friendly pod can be accessed via a ramp.

Nearby attractions include Lochmaben Castle (2 miles, 5 minutes), Eskrigg Reserve (5 miles, 10 minutes), Dumfries town centre (7 miles, 15 minutes) and the scenic Annandale Way walking path (3 miles, 8 minutes). Golf enthusiasts will find several courses within easy reach.

Well what can I say, beautiful, peaceful, surroundings are spectacular. There are lots of things you can visit, very local, lots of breath taking scenery all directions, we are definitely going back big thanks.

Can't rate this high enough, from location to cleanliness to everything you need for a romantic stay or just a relaxing soak in the spahot tub underneath the star lit sky. Loved every moment including the highland cows in the front garden. The hosts were available but unseen, perfect. Would definitely stay again.

Simply the best . If you want to get away from everyday life this is the place to be .So quiet and tranquil yet ideally placed for travelling around nearby towns. Great views when the sky is clear hot tub is under cover so can still be used if raining. Super comfy bed lodge is full of home comforts topped off with prosecco,cheese n crackers as a little add on. Also your own bq at the lodge to. Everything you can ask for .
Fantastic location, beautiful pod with everything we needed. We made good friends with the cows and even managed one evening by the fire pit on the hill. We ordered the breakfast pack and that was excellent, and we loved Mossybank which was the recommended beach. Were already thinking how we could come back with familyfriends and book out a few pods in one visit.

We had an amazing weekend in Laird Lodge 5, the view is absolutely stunning! The lodges are beautiful inside and out and they have everything you need in them so you literally just need to bring your own food and drink. The hot tub was also amazing!! We will definitely be back

This is my husband and myself second time here at lairds lodges, the lodge and scenery are beautiful and we had everything that we needed including a welcome pack. Angela is a super host, very welcoming, we were made to feel at home straight away. The hot tub was fantastic and the views and animals are amazing, especially at night looking at the stars an constellations in the hot tub, the weather was nice and we had a bbq. We have recommended laird lodges to friends and family and we will hopefully be returning again in the near future, I could just stay here forever

Fantastic 5 nights stay at the gorgeous Laird Lodges. The views from the lodge are breathtaking. The lodge had everything we needed and the hosts left us some extra gifts biscuits, cheese, Prosecco which was a lovely touch. Hot tub was the highlight of our stay. The Scottish weather is very unpredictable, however as the hot tub is undercover it doesnt matter if its rainingwindy. Would highly recommend these lodges and would not hesitate to return for another relaxing break.

We had a great time at laird lodges, the lodge was great, hot tub was lovely along with that view perfect package. Angie was lovely and took the time to introduce herself and was on hand if needed. The breakfast package and the steak night was lovely, great quality food. Cant wait to book our next visit!

WOW! from the moment we arrived and locked eyes on that view we were smitten. The lodges are ultra modern super cosy and the beds are so comfortable. Every detail is really well thought out from the super soft luxurious robes to the little touches for valentine's day and not to mention all the welcome essentials in the fridge. Angela is an amazing host, popping round to offer us a warm welcome on our 1st night in the pouring rain. She helped us with any questions and went above and beyond what we would expect including daily morning checks of the hot tub to make sure everything was ok but without being at all intrusive. The hot tub itself out of the 4 we've tried at other hot tub lodges, this one by far the best! Temperature, pressure, positioning of the jets and not to mention.............that view!!!!!! The shower is also absolutely amazing. We can't wait to go back. Thanks again, Andrew & Victoria xx

Fabulous location, the views are outstanding. Loved how remote it was with only being a total of 5 lodges there. Peaceful & relaxing. Hot tub was great being covered over from wind & rain.
Thank you very much for your hospitality, although we stayed only three nights, we feel very rested and relaxed for a long time, beautiful surroundings, a secluded place in the bosom of nature, quiet and peaceful, and a beautiful, clean and equipped house, relaxing in a hot tub with a view of the green landscape . .. we hope to come back again

We absolutely loved our stay at Laird Lodges, Sunday 11th June for 5 nights, the weather was absolutely roasting, the lodge was ideal with everything you could possibly need at hand, the bed was comfy. The welcome pack was probably the best we have ever had, especially after driving you could make a quick cuppa. The fluffy dressing gowns and slippers were comfy. The views from the deck are amazing both daynight, sitting out watching and listening to the animals and watching the sunset was brilliant. The hot tub was brilliant sitting back and relaxing, just looking at the views, the owners Angie and Andy were brilliant hosts with great local knowledge, about the location of the farm between Lochmaben, Lockerbie, Dumfries, which means there is lots of stuff to see and do all within driving reach, the app was very useful. We would definitely 100 recommend Laird Lodges to family and friends and 100 guarantee we will be returning in the near future, thank you Angie and Andy for having us xx

Me and my partner had a lovely couple of days at the lodge, we enjoyed every minute of it. Angie was so lovely , introduced herself and said if we need anything then shes sure to help but also didnt hover over us the entire trip. Loads of things to do for a quiet get away around the area. We arrived at No. 5 Laird Lodge late Friday evening, feeling a little skepticalbut as soon as we walked into the pod it was lovely, a very compact area, with everything we needed and more! The hot tub was wonderful & the views were amazing! We stayed for 7 nights and unfortunately on the 6th night our hot tub went faulty and couldnt be used again but the owners Angie were fab and let us use the next door pods tub which was vacant! What to dowe went to Glasgow, Castle Douglas, Lockerbie, Dumfries, Annan, Gretna which was really lovely, Loch Arthur and Southerness Beech, Eskrigg nature reserve and also Castle Loch nature reserve. We also did a walk behind Laird Lodge up to the areas, Trig point definitely worth the walk. Ask Angie for directions. Food The Crown hotel which was up the road was lovely a fab Sunday lunch. Cavens arms in Dumfries was a good lunch. Deep fried Mars bars from the Blue Lagoon chip shop in Glasgow were delicious followed by an amazing Thai meal at Chaophraya also in Glasgow. Kilnford farm shop is wonderful, roast beef sandwich was delicious and also we took home some of their Galloway fillet steaks to cook the following night scrumptious. And lastly Casa Mia in Dumfries was such a lovely night, well worth a visit. The weather was a little soggy at times but the autumnal colours made up for it. I would strongly recommend a stay at Laird Lodges we had a very peaceful, restful romantic 7 days away there. Thank you Angie and family for your warmth and welcoming manner.
By far the best place we have stayed. A well needed disconnect from world to kick back and recharge. The place was spotless and the view was unbelievable. The hot tub was amazing too. Owners are friendly and more than happy to help if you need anything and full of great knowledge of the area. Will definitely be telling family and friends about the place and looking forward to coming back.

Booked 7 nights in Laird Lodge 5. Everything was completely perfect, the lodge itself was done to such a high standard with everything you need, the owners were also very reactive if there was anything needed, the couple in the lodge next to us messaged them for a gas lighter for the BBQ and someone was up within 5 minutes. The location is stunning with views straight out from the lodges. The guidebook the owners send you about all the local shops and places to visit was a massive help and the ice cream shop is an absolute must. There was also a book in the lodges with local walks and a magazine with local informationplaces to visit. If you're after a relaxing week away this is the winner, could not fault a single thing. Wouldn't hesitate to book to go back.
