Explore historical landmarks of Bruce’s Stone and the Glentrool Giant Axe Head, before hiking the highest summit in Southern Scotland, the Merrick, to find the Grey Man of the Merrick. Or take a short drive to Ayr to treat the history buff to Greenan Castle and Burns Cottage, then put on your finest clothes for a day at Ayr Racecourse.
