The Lodge was perfectly placed for day trips, really comfy and well-equipped. The hot tub was a lifesaver on chilly, rainy nights since it's partly undercover. The hamper was a lovely touchand the pub food was spot on. We visited in early November and noticed quite a few places, including the on-site pub, closed on Tuesdays, but overall, we had a great break.
